For parents

Privacy policy

A parent is in charge. Talkicorn is not an ad network and not a social network. This page says what is stored, and where a live voice call goes.

Who we are

Talkicorn is offered by Diversity Holdings Group LLC at talkicorn.com. Privacy questions go to support@talkicorn.com.

What a parent gives us

If you create an account, we keep your email, the name you type, and a scrambled form of your password in a cookie on that browser. That cookie is how this browser recognizes you. It is not a child account.

Setup can include a child's first name or nickname, an age from 2 to 10, practice goals, up to three words, and a short note. That stays in this browser and is sent with the call so the friend can use the name and the words. Please don't put a diagnosis, a last name, an address, a school, or a phone number in that note.

Where the voice goes

On a live call, the microphone audio is sent to xAI. xAI processes that audio so the friend can hear your child and speak back. Talkicorn does not keep a recording of the call. Captions you see on screen stay in the browser tab for that visit.

The friend is not given a browser. The child path does not search the web or open links.

If the live voice is unavailable, the browser's own speech tools are the demo. In Chrome, that recognizer may send audio to Google. In Safari, Apple may handle recognition on the device. That path is the browser's, and the screen says when you are on the demo voice. You can type instead of using the microphone.

Payments

When you add a card, Stripe processes the payment. Talkicorn does not store your full card number. Stripe receives the email on the parent account so it can send receipts and run the subscription. Billing choices are in the Refund Policy and the Terms.

What stays on the device

Voice minutes for the monthly cap, the child setup, and sound preferences are stored in this browser. They are not a recording. Clearing the site's data in the browser removes them from that device.

We do not sell personal information. We do not show ads. We do not build a profile to advertise to your child.

Children

Talkicorn is made for a child to use with a grown-up nearby. We do not ask a child for an email, a photo, or contact details. The account belongs to the parent. If you believe a child sent personal details without you, email support@talkicorn.com and we will help you clear what we can.

This product is educational play. It is not a medical record and not a file an SLP would keep.

Your choices

You can end a call, revoke microphone permission, skip setup, or clear this browser's saved data. To ask about the Stripe customer tied to your email, email support@talkicorn.com. We may update this policy. The date below is the one you are reading. Continued use after an update means the new policy applies to new calls.
